A tiny landscape made at Lake Pleasant Regional Park, reflective blue green water shaded by desert scrub beneath stately saguaro cacti on the hills behind. Wild burros and plenty of bunnies and lizards roam this area which is rich in color and atmosphere. I painted this little piece especially for the small metal vintage frame, and looks like bronze, such a nice patina as found. If you've traveled the southwest, and loved our stark and powerful Sonoran Desert views, this miniature desktop or boudoir artwork would be a warm reminder in a classic vintage/antique style.
