A magical day near Naniboujou Lodge on Lake Superior outside Grand Marais. These gray and black and maybe pink colors are true to what I saw that day as I created this serene cold moment after the sunset on the river inlet. The original is pastel on paper. The little nymph was really there, with her stick spear, the water was quite black, it's a vivid visual memory still, hopefully shared by those who have seen and appreciate this cheerful but ghostly ancient lake with it so many secrets. I'm not anxious to part with it, because it has a special mystical quality, but I'd love to know what a collector would do with this piece, where it might go, have you been there, or will you go?
