#155 - Acrylic on canvas
Painting 6” x 8”
In Frame: 13” x 15“
Recently enamored of what some people think are common weeds, I've fallen for Arizona's wildflowers. This mounding brittle bush in silvery green foliage, reminds me of dried sage, forms a natural ball shape, and throws up (after a good rainy winter) these brilliant sunny yellow daisy-like flowers in a little mushroom cloud of color. Yes, there's always a saguaro in the background. They are everywhere here, each so solid and scarred, green, red, black, chalk wounds and all. This original acrylic on canvas board is 8" x 6", and was painted on a March afternoon at Skyline Regional Park near White Tanks, AZ. It's only meant to make you smile at mother nature's artistry.
